All tlie newspapers congratulate Mr Churchill on his scucessful meditation, firmness and tact in averting a disastrous struggle. It js calculated that national stoppage would havo inflicted on English minors a weekly loss of one million pounds. Gratitude is expressed to the Scottish mine owners, whose Concession secured the 'settlement.- •
