The girl admirers of Miss Tittell Bruno assembled in force in St. James’s Hall, Sydney, when, on their behalf, the popular actress was -presented with a pendant in the form of a lyre-bird resting upon a boomerang, with “Cooee” picked out in diamonds. A scroll containing the signatures of the subscribers was also handed to Miss Brune. Mr Robert McNab, formerly Minister of Lands, who is taking a trip to England, lias left Sydney for the Old Country. He lias had excellent results in liis search at Hobart, Melbourne, and Sydney for historical material dealing with the early days in New Zealand. -
