Mr Taverner, Agent-General for Victoria, interviewed Mr Winston Churchill, President of the Beard of Trade, respecting the Victorian Tanners’ Association’s complaint that America and Canada are exporting loaded leather to London.. He urged that the Government take action to prevent such un-' fair competition. Mr Churchill said it looked like cheating. He would make full inquiries and see what he could do.
