A MESSAGE FROM THE OWNERS.

(Pkh Pukhh Association.] WELLINGTON, August 10. The New Zealand and African Steamship Company, local agents for the Federal-Houlder-Shiro line, have received cabled advice that all hands had been saved from the steamer Langton Grange, which went ashore on the coast of Pembrokeshire. It is probable that when she went ashore she was proceeding to Avonmouth or Liverpool, to be docked preparatory to her next voyage. [The Langton Grange was a v®sssel of 5852 tons, and was built in 1890 by Workman, Clark and Co., of Bellas • She was one of a line of steamers that maintain a regular monthly service between New Zealand ports and the West of England in accordance with a contract from the New Zealand Government. She carried passengers as well as cargo. All the steamers of .the Fcderal-Houlder-Shire line are specially equipped for the conveyance of live stock and frozen meat, and when the Langton Grange left the Dominion iOr Avonmouth on May 29 she had a very largo cargo. She arrived at Avonmoutn on July 17, and, judging by the wording of the cable, she had completed discharge. According to the time-table, she would be leaving again for Australian and New Zealand norts about September 21. Captain F. A. Greaves was in command of the vessel on her last trip.]
