MINISTERIAL MOVEMENTS. The Hon J- Carroll, Acting-Prime MhrLtcris to leave Wellington tomorrow lor Gisborne. He is to return via Wairoa, and will open the bridge at Stewart’s Crossing over the Nuhaka Rivor Yesterday evening His W orship the Mayor (Mr. W. D. Lysnar) received the following telegram from Mr Carroll: “Will be in Gisborne next Saturday. So far, other Ministers engagements will destroy the hope of any of them being present. I vidj be in Gisborne for a few days. I open the bridge at Stewart’s Grossing, Nuhaka, on the 21st, and from there visit Wairoa on my way back to W ellmgton.

rpren Puksh Association.} WELLINGTON, August 10. The Hon. J. A. Millar, Minister of Railways, left’ for South last night. He wili travel as far as Dunedin. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, August 10. The Acting-Prime Minister, the Hon. J. Carroll, was in town to-day. He leaves to-morrow night for Wellington en route for Gisborne. . The Hon. J- A. Millar also arrived from Wellington to-day. He intends remaining here till Friday, when he will possibly leave for Dunedin. The Hon. T. Mackenzie went south bv the first express to-day. He joins the Hon. R. McKenzie in Southland, and accompanies him over the route or the Gatlins River railway. INVERCARGILL. August 10. The Minister for Public Works (the [ion R McKenzie) paid a flying visit to Watau to-day, 'hearing several deputations on local matters, and returning in the evening. On W ednesdav the Minister will inspect the W aimahaka railway construction works, on Ihursdav the Waikaia and W aikaka extension works, on Friday the Gatlins River construction, and on Saturday will visit Kaitangata. On Saturday night he will be banquetted m Balclutha, and early next week he will proceed overland" to the Roxburgh-Lawrence route.
