OBITUARY.
FOUNDER OF THE SISTERS OF THE SACRED HEART.

The death is announced of Mother Mary, aged 67, founder of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Sacred Heart. She contracted the illness which terminated fatally during her visit to New Zealand in 1902. DEATH OF A MAGISTRATE. (For Press Association J HAWERA, August 10. Mr A. Turnbull, S.M., age 63, died this morning. MRS. F. A. BENNETT. The Rev. F. W. Chattertoii yesterday received a telegram stating that Mrs Bennett, wife of the Rev. F. A. Bennett, the well-known Maori missioncr at Rotorua., passed away yesterday morning, during confinement. The deceased lady was well known in this district, and" the news of her death will be received with much regret by her many Native and European friends. The lato Mrs Bennett was a daughter of Mr H. Park, of Motueka. She leaves five young children. Much sympathy will be felt for the Rev. Mr Bennett and family in their bereavement.
