The ■’dans for the pavilion have been prepared by Mr. F. J. AAhlson, sen., and reflect great credit on that .gentleman for their completeness and attention to detail. In conversation with a “Times” reporter yesterday, Mr. AYm. Pettie, President of the Club, said that with the new arrangements and conveniences, the members of the club were hopeful of seeing a great deal more interest taken in the club by the lady friends of members, as under the proposed new conditions they would not only be able to spend an enjoyable afternoon in watching the play from the spacious balcony of the new pavilion, but would also by their presence make the afternoon more pleasant for everybody. Mr. Pettie speaks well of the prospects of the coming season; and. already has knowledge of a goodly number of new members. _ Several valuable prizes for competition have heen held over from last season, and other prizes have been promised, and a really good season is anticipated. Pie expects that the new pavilion will bo a' credit, not only to the club, but to the town, and expresses himself as well pleased that the club has been able to see its way to have such a handsome structure erected.
