The Union Co.’s Tarawera arrived from South early yesterday morning. Owing to the condition of the river the Tuatea left the wharf at 5.45 a.m., md returned with the passengers at 3.30 a.m. The bottem of the river was touched several times on coming up the river.
The Huddart, Parker Co.’s Victoria arrived from Sydney and Auckland shortly after noon yesterday, and left igain for South during the evening. Che Victoria left Sydney at 1.30 p.tarn Wednesday last, and passed tho S'orth Capo at 11 p.m. on Saturday, irriving at Auckland at noon on Sunlay. Fresh to strong west and southvest "winds and seas and fine weather ire vailed till passing tho North Cape, hence light winds and fine clear weaker till arrival at Auckland. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s lluru drives from ‘Napier this morning to oad wool shipped by the New Zealand Jhipping Company. She returns toliglit.
