A THREE-MILE RECORD
United Press Association— Copyright LONDON, Aug. 10. Rowland, of New Zealand, won the three miles handicap walk at Glasgow, in 21min. 30 1-5 sec., a Scottish record. At the same meeting R, E. Walker, the South African, ran 120 yards in 11 3-5 seconds, and 150 yards in 14 4-5 seconds, both records. [A. E. Rowland, who put up tho three mile record, is a South Canterbury man, hailing from Timaru.]
