There are still places in Asia Minor where the genuine Arabian horse is bred. That is the case, for example, in the Vilayet (province) of Diarbekir. Such an animal of the highest type occasionally sells in that region ior as much as £SOO or £600; but, ordinarily, the average hors© can be bought throughout the country for about £lO or a little more. The Turkish Government has done what it could to increase the number of horses' from time to time by prohibiting exportation and by buying large quantities in Hungary. At various places throughout the country breeding stations have been established; but, for want of capital, they do not appear to have been very prosperous. SEEDS! - SEEDS! VEGETABLE AND FLOWER. ■ P.
