COLLECTIVE ACTION BY THE POWERS. SUPPRESSION OF THE MACEDONIAN FINANCIAL COMMISSION. United Piiess Association—Cofyjugiit. (Received August 17, 10.5 p.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, August 17. The ambassadors have presented the Porte with a collective note intimating that the Powers have decided to suppress the International Financial Commission for Macedonia. The Porte received the communication with great satisfaction. The members of the Commission will enter Turkey’s service for the reorganisation of the Empire’s general finances. The note is considered significant at the present juncture, when the Powers are striving to prevent a disturbance in the Near East.
