TVf OTICE is hereby given that this Council proposes to execute a certain public work, viz., the Construetion of a Road Approach to a Bridge across the Waimata River, and for that purpose to take the lands, described in the accompanying schedule. The works to be undertaken are formation and metalling, metalling and culverts for the passage of surface water. All persons having any objection to the taking of this land, or who null be injuriously affected by the construction of the proposed works, are required to state their objections in writing, and send the writing to the office of the Cook County Council, Gisborne, on or before the 30th SEPTEMBER, 1909. A plan of the land to be taken may he seen at the office of the Council, Gisborne, and at Messrs Bissett’s Store, Waimata. Valley, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. SCHEDULE. J. 7\TOTICE is hereby given that at the JL n forthcoming sitting of the House of Representatives for the Dominion of New Zealand, application will be mado for leave to bring in the above mentioned Private Bill. The objects of the Bill are to vest portions of the said Tawhiti Numbers 1A and IF Blocks cimprised in a plan deposited in the Land Transfer Office at Gisborne, under No. 1565 in the Public Trustee, free from all restrictions in order to carry out an agreement for sale and purchase of the said lands made between the Native Owners of the said lands and the Tokomaru Sheepfarmers Freezing Company, Limited. After such lands have been vested m the Public Trustee, he shall, upon having allotted to him shares in the company of a face value equivalent to the amount of the consideration agreed upon as the purchase price of the said lands, transfer the said " lands to the Company. Upon the interests of the various Native Owners being ascertained, the Public Trustee shall apportion and transfer the said shares to the various owners. Copies of the said Bill -will be deposited in the Office of the Examiner of Standing Orders of the House of Representatives at Wellington on or about the 4th day of September, 1909, and # before the commencement of the session.
