Dr. McKee, who has been appointed to succeed Dr. Sampson a s house surgeon at the Gisborne Hospital, will take up his hew duties -<ai September iStli. , , , ~ , . 'Mr. A. F. Matthews had decided to resign from the position of honorary treasurer to the Hospital Trustees, owing to the fact that lie is often out of town when cheques require to be signed. The Board, however, decided to overcome the difficulty by arranging that any Trustee might sign cheques. Miss Amy Castles, the vocalist, arrived in Melbourne from London last week. Her first concert under the management of Messrs J. and N. .-fait is to take place at Melbourne to-night.
