The Canterbury Shipping Co.’s Ripple arrived from South early on Saturday morning, and came up to the wharf on the morning’s tide. She brought the following cargo : —From Lyttelton, 271 sacks potatoes, 40 sacks malt, 50 sacks chaff, 200 sacks oats, 25 sacks wheat, 4 rams, 15 ewes; from Oamaru, 57 sacks potatoes, 224 sacks oats; from Timaru, 20 sacks oatmeal', 40 sacks bran, 10 sacks potatoes, also a quantity of general cargo from Wellington and Napier. The Ripple was ready to leave for Lyttelton on Saturday night, but owing to the. range at the entrance to the river did not get away till yesterday morning. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria arrived from South early on Saturday morning, and continued her voyage to Auckland and Sydney about noon. Her cargo for Gisborne was as follows: — From Dunedin, 28 crates and 37 cases confectionery, 4J sacks oats, 10 sacks oatmeal, 22 sacks bran, JLUO sacks^chaff; from Lyttelton, 6 cases biscuits, 10 sacks oatina, 3 sacks peas, 110 sacks 'potatoes, 9 sacks seed; from Wellington, 5 boxes butter, 48 boxes candles, 23 cases preserved fish, 10 cases fruit, 15 cases, apples, also a large quantity of miscellaneous cargo from various ports. Captain Ross, who has been relieving Captain Hawke on the Tuatea, leaves on Wednesday next for Wellington in the Flora, where he will probably relieve Captain Mcßride, of the Flora. The Union Co.’s Squall, delayed on account of the range in the river on Friday night, got away direct for Auckland on Saturday morning. She will probably leave that port this evening for Tologa Bay and Gisborne. The Union Co.’s Monowai, arrived from Auckland at 10.30 yesterday morning after a splendid trip. The vessel was promptly tendered by the Tuatea, and the passengers were ashore by elevfen o’clock. Owing to the tidal conditions, the steamer was net tendered with outward passengers until 7 p.m., and sailed shortly after 8 o’clock for South. . , . The Union Co.’s Flora is working the coast ports. Te Araroa. Awanui. and Waipiro. She will arrive here in. a few days, and will then proceed to Napier and Wellington. Messrs Richardson and Co. s Weka wrfs to have loft Napier yesterday morning for this port. She should arrive here early this morning.
