Both Federal Houses have resumed the debate on the Premiers’ Conference agreement, and the Government has been subjected to some severe criticism. " the QUEENSLAND CRISIS. A GOVERNMENT MAJORITY OF ONE. BRISBANE, August 25. In the Assembly, Mr. Maughan resigned the Chairmanship of Committees.
Mr. Kidston moved the suspension of the Standing Orders to enable the passage of an Appropriation Bill in one day. The motion was carried after debate by 36 to 35. The sitting is still proceeding.
