YOUNG GARNET'S sire, Garnet, is by British Lion (imp.), dam Topaz, by Overdraft; grand-dam by, Dugdale (imp.). Winner of First Prize and Society’s Medal for Draught Stallion at Poverty Bay A. and P. Society’s Show, 1896-97-98-1900. His dam, Bose Auckland—vOonqueror. Taking ijiuto consideration he has the Qarneh—British Lion blood on his father’s side/ and the Auckland— Conqueror on tile mother’s, he should leave great ctoclt. Auckland and Garnet both have stock in this district which would be hard to outclass. YOUNG GARNET has proved to be a sure foal-getter.
