DISTURBANCE IN THE NORTH ISLAND.

(Per Frees Association.? A..- ' GORE, August 28. Mr Wragge has forwarded the Mataura “Ensign” the following; from Christchurch: “The isobaric contouring of disturbance Dido,' now operating, is- decidedly complicated. The conditions are very suspicious, especially over the North Island." More rain is probable there, with floods and vicious blows from between south-east and north, the latter shifting to west and. south, variable winds, and very unsteady; also in the South Island, with more rain there as well. Shipping is warned.”
