Mr. W. A. Barton, S.M.p will leave this morning for his periodical visit to the Coast to hold sittings of the Magistrate’s Court in the various centres. Mr. Bert. Halligan leaves this morning for the Thames district, where he has decided to enter into business on his own account. Mr. Halligan lias been president of the Gisborne Bakers’ Union for many years, and at the meeting of the Union on Saturday evening the secretary (Mr. G. Darton), on behalf of the members, made Mr. Halligan a presentation in recognition of his services as president.
