The Mutual Life (Citizens’) Company obtained a verdict for £IOOO and costs against Walden, an insurance agent in the employ of thd A.M.P. Society, for defamation, by making disparaging statements about the plaintiff company’s methods. The defendant denied that he had ever made disparaging remarks. The verdict was ior the full amount claimed.
