AN ANTI-BUDGET RESOLUTION. A GOVERNMENT PROPHECY. {Jhited Press Association c^oPYiuoiir. LONDON, August 29. Mr Walter Long, a leading Opposition member, addressed 10,000 Conservatives and Liberal Unionists at Mountain Ash. A. resolution condemning the Budget, and favoring tariff reform was carried by an overwhelming majority. Mr Runciman, in a speech at Rhye, said that the Budget was good, and the Government would introduce one equally as good in 1910. THE DUKE OF DEVONSHIRE’S WARNING. A GREAT POLITICAL STRUGGLE IMPENDING. (Received August 30, 10.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 30. * The Duke of Devonshire, addressing the Matlock Unionists’ League, said that all their forces would shortly he required in one of the biggest political struggles known, for a great many years, one striking at the Constitution of the country, and which they must make every preparation to face. -
