HALF-CASTE GIRL DISAPPEARS. [Per Press Association.! NAPIER, Sept. 1. A half-caste girl named Harriet Sutherland, who was staying with friends at Fraser town, disappeared from there in the beginning of January. Rumors have been in circulation amongst the natives to the effect that there is something underlying the case. Police inquiries have so far been without result, , and with the view of endeavoring to clear up the matter, Detective Hill left this morning for Wairoa.
