A plain and fancy dress ball is to bo hold at Matawai on the night of Friday, Tenders for the supply of hopper barges for the Harbor Board, for use in connection with the new dredge, close on Monday, 15th inst. The revenue-from the Gisborne railway for the foiir-weekly period ending July 24 amounted to £920 7s sd, and the expenditure to £639 15s 9d. The revenue for the corresponding period last year wasi £BOO 9s 3d.'
