TPer Press Association.! MARTON, Sept. 2. The annual race meeting of the Marton Jockey Club took plaoe to-day. The ' weather was fine, but the going was sloppy. The attendance was fair, and tlie amount put through the totalisator for the meeting totalled £9258, agains £13,689 last year, a decrease oi £4411. Handicap Hurdles, .40sbvs, 11 miles.—Tyrannic 1, Ngawaka 2, Taupe 3. Also ran: Mauri, Atamu; Chasse, Sedgemoor, Arcadia, Aesop, Drudgery, Paoakura, and Mungo ParkWon by several lengths. Time, 4min 2soc. * . , • .’Flyintr Handicap, oOsovs, 6 furlongs. —Dr. Shimose 1, First Consul 2, Timothy 3. Also ran: Aim well and Sir Possible. Won by a length. Time, Imin 27sec. . Hack Steeplechase Handicap, 60sovs, 2 miles. —Sir Lethe 1, Chief 2, Gibaro 3. Also rah: Te Kainui, Whipcord, Prizeman, Kamoa, Defeat, Riro, Atu, Wild Oats, Emerald Isle, Whareponga, and Carronade.
