Weka, Napier, via Whangaweki, today. Wimmera, Auckland, to-day. ! Monowai, South, to-morrow. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall arrived from Tologa Bay and Auckland yesterday morning, and after discharging her cargo, returned to Auckland last evening. She left Auckland at 5.10 p.m. on August 31st, and encountered a heavy westerly gale with high seas in the Bay of Plenty, heavy bodies of water finding their way on board, the decks being full of water continually. The weather became worse, so - the steamer ran into Hick’s Bay for shelter, where she remained till Thursday morning. Passed East Cape at 8.15 a.m. that day, and had a south-east fresh breeze and moderate sea to Tologa Bay, where, she arrived at 3.15 p.m. the same day. Left again at 11.30 p.rn. for Gisborne, where she arrived at 7 a.m. yesterday. The cargo is as follows: —312 tons to land, comprising 1 bags cement, 10 kegs grease, 20 sacks bottles,. 105 sacks flour, 41 cases jam, 400 bags sugar, 40 bags l salt, 66,574 ft timber, 60 bags lime, 10 sacks lime, 144 sacks coal, 10 cases brandy, 40 boxes soap, 10 1 sacks oatmeal, 10 sacks superphosphates, 64 tons transhipments ex Mo kola from Sydney, and a large quantity of small general goods. The Harbor Board’s launch goes on the slip this morning to undergo an overhaul. The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Wimmera arrives from southern ports this morning, and proceeds to Auckland later. The Tuatea leaves the wharf at 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. The U.S.S. Co.’s Flora arrives from Napier this morning, and leaves for Coast bays and Auckland later. The U.S.S. Co.’s Monowai returns -from Auckland to-morrow afternoon, and continues her voyage south during the evening. Outward passengers leave the wharf at 5 p.m. The Maoriland S.S. Co.’s Holmdale is expected early from Grey mouth yfith a load of timber for,. Gisborne. Messrs Richardson and Co.’s Weka arrives this morning from Napier. She returns to Napier, via Whangawehi. during the forenoon. The Weka arrives here again on Monday or Tuesday, and calls at Boat Harbor on her way back to Napier.
