COMMERCIAL.
HORSE SALES. Messrs Williams and Kettle, Ltd., yarded about 23 horses of various descriptions at their weekly sale on Saturday. Bidding was slow, and few sales were effected. Hacks brought from £3 5s to £6 15s, and harness horses from £6 to £8 10s. The stallions Multifid, Sweet Patch, and King Edward were on parade during the afternoon. PRODUCE MARKETS. Messrs F. S. Malcolm and Co. auctioneers, report the following prices realised at their produce sales on Saturday :—Fowls Is 8d to 2s 3d, ducks 2s, eggs lOd and lid, potatoes 6s to 7s cwt, onions Id to l£d lb, apples 10s to 11s 6d case, oranges 8s case, bananas 7s 6d case, cabbages Is : 6d doz, cauliflowers 3s 6d doz, maize 3s 9d bushel, / ermall vegetables at usual quotations. Successful sales of furniture were heln - on account of Mr. Stillburn, Stout Street, on Thursday, and on account of Mrs. B. Bell at the auction looms on Saturday. ' "—MU
