SITTING AT ROTORUA
["Per Press Association.! 1 ROTORUA, Sept. 6. At the Police Commission, at Rotorua to-dav Constable Skinner, Tauranga, urged the appointment of an instructor in physical culture. Constable Wileocks, Whakatane, complained of the unfair distribution of the reward granted for the arrest of Ellis, the murderer. Sergeant Watt gave evidence of the general efficiency of the police in the Constable O’Reilly, Opotiki, wished to know why, when general efficiency of the force was admitted he had not been > ™Er?^ ' Menzies, District Road Engineer drew attention to the manner in which inquiries were made regarding applicants for positions in the force. He considered the method was not one which commended itself. There were no complaints. The sitting of the Commission closed shortly after noon.
