HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT.

Prices have slightly advanced for all grades. It is generally believed , however, that prices will not advance materially until a reduction has been made in stocks. Mutt-on: Canterbury is at 21cl, North Island 2fd. There has been no alteration in the lamb market since last week. Thera is a better demand for heavy weights, and no change in prices. Canterbury is at 3|d, North Island 2|d. The beef market is quiet, there being a good supply on hand. New Zealand hinds one at 3fd, fores 2|d. The butter market remains firm. Good qualities are in better demand. The lonic’s shipment" has been put in store. The average price for the week for choicest New Zealand butter is at 114 s (nominal), Danish 117 s, Siberian 103 s. The cheese market is slightly weaker, with less - demand. New Zealand is at 58s 6d, Canadian 57s 6d. T]ie New Zealand hemp market is quiet but firm at about the quotations already sent. New Zealand, good, fair grade, on spot, ’£2s 15s: New Zealand, fair grade, on spot, £24 15s ; September to December shipments, New Zealand good, fair grade, £25 10s; New Zealand, fair grade, £24 10s. The manila hemp market has - been affected by increasing arrivals. Fair current manila, on spot, is at £24. September to December shipments £23 10b. The manila output is 32,000 bales. There is a better demand for cocksfoot seed at last rates quoted. NEW SOUTH WALES WHEAT CROP.
