The death is announced of Mr. Clyde Fitch, the dramatist, from appendicitis.

MRS. T. W. HISLOP. (Pee Peess Association-! WELLINGTON, Sept, 6. Mi'S. Hislop, 1 wife of the Hon. T. W. Hislop, late Mayor of Wellington, died this morning, after a long illness. AN OLD NELSON RESIDENT. NELSON, Sept. 6. The death of Mr. Jno. Greenwood, dentist, an old resident, occurred unexpectedly last" night. Mr. Greenwood, who was 77 years of age, came to New Zealand in 1847, and had practised m various places in the Dominion. He leaves a grown-up .family, one of whom is Dr. Greenwood, of Christchurch, the tuberculosis specialist.
