The following' is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ weather forecast: Cloudy and showery weather is probable on the east coast of the North Island south of East Cape, and. fair weather in most other parts. The barometer will probably rise everywhere over the North Island, as the cyclonic disturbance is now departing to the eastward. The pressure will probably increase shortly in the southern, districts, but the lowest pressure of a forthcoming disturbance is due to* pass on Friday, preceded by northerly and followed by southerly winds.
