QUEENSLAND ELECTION CAMPAIGN OPENED. Unitod Prhm Association— Copyright BRISBANE, Sept. 7. Mr. Kidston opened the election campaign at Rockhampton. He said that it was unnnecessary to elaborate the Government programme, which was the same as that submitted two years ago. The keynote was material, educational and social progress. He characterised the alliance of the Opposition and the Labor party as most unholy, hopeless and helpless, so far as the conduct of public business was concerned. He considered that the financial arrangement with the Commonwealth was a fair compromise.
