GISBORNE RIFLES.

ORDERS FOR ’SEPTEMBER. The following orders for September have been issued by Captain A. G. Beere: ‘ The company will parade as under: Friday, 10th, at 7.30, for instruction by Staff Sergeant-Major McNair; service uniform; every member must attend; Friday, 17th, at 7.30 service uniform; Friday, 24th, at 7.30, full dress; Friday, Ist October, at 7.30, service uniform. AH N.C.O.’s will attend in mufti at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday next, Bth and 9th inst., for instruction by Staff SergeantMajor McNair. A mobilisation parade will be held during the mouth, and for the credit of the corps every member is requested to attend. Half-company and section commanders will make arrangements for the rapid delivery of orders when issued- A church parade will he held! on Dominion Day, for which orders will be issued later. All rifles on issue must be returned to store on the 10th inst. Men retaining rifles, after that date will be charged with the full cost of same, £3 ss. Members will be required to sign a receipt for Mieir oopy of these orders.. The following N.C.O.’s having passed the necessary examination, their appointments are confirmed: Sergeant Rait, No. 1 section; Sergeant McLaugldm and Corporal Lockie, No. 2 section; Corporal Barney, No. 3 section. Private Cameron also passed as sergeant, and is at present parading with the' Wanganui Highland Rifles. Th© following acting appointments are being made? Private Hay to he acting corporal temporarily in No. 4 section; Private Rogers 'to be acting lancecorporal. Members are required to see that .the numbers on their- belt,, pouch, and frog agree, also that their rifle and bayonet agree. Section commanders to report any difference to color-sergeant. Orderlies for month, Sergeant Rait and Corporal Lockie. Members will attend the annual social on the 6th inst. in full dress, with waist belts, no pouches or side-arms.
