TPer Press Association.] LEVIN, Sept. 9. There was splendid weather for tho second day of the Horowhenna Hack Racing Club’s race meeting. The course was in good order, and the attendance large. The sum put through the totalisator for the two days was £7959. The following were the results: Ohau Flying Hack Handicap, 5 furlongs.—Marengo 1, Teroti 2, Aimwell 3. Also started: Waiari, Purakau, Shannon Lass, Louis, Cork, Aropata, and Inveran. Won in the straight by a length. Time, lmin ssec. Levin Handicap, 5 furlongs.—Lord Soult 1, Waiata 2, Naumai 3. Also started: Hermia and Tern. Won easily by two lengths, Waiata just getting into second place. Time, lmin 4 4-ssec.
Moutere Hack Handicap, 1 mile.— Aberbrothock 1, Sir Possible 2, Dolce 3. Also started: Pukcwai. Won easily all tho way by a length and a-half. Time, lmin 15 l-ssec.
Second Hack Hurdle Handicap, 1 £ miles. —Aotea 1, Rawhiti* 2, Waimaria 3. Also started: Rangihaeata, Rendrock, Hatley, Yosanii, Tambour Major, and Matira. A good race, won from the last fence. Time, 2min 57sec. Wereroa Handicap, 7 furlongs. —Inev I, Sandstream 2, Gaelic 3. Also started : Toa Tuhi and Wailiuka. A good race. Won by lialf-a-lengtli. Time, lmin 31sec.. High-weight Hack Handicap. 6 furlongs.—Buoyant 1, Te Otane 2, Wainunui 3. Also started : Rangikura, Cohort, Merry Messenger. This was the best race of the day, and was won by a neck, with a head between second and third. Time, lmin 21sec. Hack Scurry Race, 4 furlongs.— Lace Collar 1, Waiata 2, Undecided 3. Also started: 'Captain Beil, Prevail, Lady Paul, Bravery, Lady Linton, Amphianser, Clover, Hauriki, Inveran, Captain, and Celebrity. Lace Collar took the lead at the start, and was never beaded. Time, olsec. WANGANUI HANDICAPS. WANGANUI, Sept. 9. The following weights have been declared by Mr. George_ Morse for the open handicap events on the first day of the Wanganui Jockey Club’s spring meeting:— Firing Handicap. 6 furlongs.-North-East 9:2.
