A local resident when driving to the Tarras last week saw some novel tactics on the part of a hawk (says the ••Cromwell Argus.” The bird kept following some shags in the Clutha river, and when one of them came up, after a dive, with a trout, the hawk darted down and seized the fish. I Ids is the first instance known of hawks developing this trait, but there is not the slightest doubt of it being authentic. A MYSTERIOUS EVENT. Many physicians seem to think it a mysterious event when their patients—whom they cannot cure —'are quickly relieved and restored to health by Dr. Sheldon’s New Discovery for Coughs and Colds; but there is nothing mysterious about it. Dr. Sheldon’s New Discovery represents the latest knowledge of the day in the practice of the science of healing, and does not follow any of the old-fashioned methods of the materia medica. It goes right to the point of infection in all cases of throat and lung trouble, and by means that are all its own drives out the disease and heals the affected parts. It is a safe, pleasant, positive cure for all lung troubles. Try it. Price. Is 6d and 3s. Obtainable everywhere.
