REDUCTION OF ARMAMENTS.

Mr Asquith, in reply to Mp Byles, reiterated that any intimation of Germany’s desire for an agreement regarding reduction of armaments would meet with a most cordial response from the British Government. BERLIN, Sopt. 9.
The “National -Zeitung,” commenting on Mr Asquith’s reply, declares that British supremacy of the sea is merely a matter of years.
