The old-standing dispute between the North Shore Gas Company and the Employees’ Union culminated in the Union issuing an ultimatum that unless the company agreed to an immediate conference With a view to / the oom..pany withdrawing its application, for a Wages Board, the employees would be called out at. 1 o’clock to-day. This meant a call-out at the city gas works. The negotiations resulted in the company agreeing to confer with the men next week, the men in the meantime continuing work. , *-Y "
