The Canterbury Shining Co. s Jtipple arrived from South on Saturday morning, and left again yesterday afternoon. She leaves Dunedin and Oamaru on Wednesday, Timaru on Thursday, Lyttelton on Friday, and is due again in Gisborne about the 21st inst. She brought the following cargo for this port-—From Lyttelton: 10 sacks oatina, 3 sacks split peas, 2 sacks pearl barley, 23 (180’s) bran, 25 sacks (25’s) 400 (50’s), 70 (100’s), and 50 (200’s) flour. 9 sacks wheat meal, 80 seed, 40 sacks malt. From Timaru: sacks potatoes, 300 sacks oats, 18 sacks 100 sacks (25’s), 240 (50’s), and 40 (100’s) flour, 51 sacks oats, 40 (160 s) bran, 30 sacks (25’s). and 5 (7’s), oatmeal, 12 sacks potatoes; From Oamaru: 120 sacks (25’s), 120 (50’s), and 30 (100’s) flour, 11 (180’s) pollard, 7 (140’s) bran, 119 sacks potatoes, 70 sacks oats. From Dunedin: 13 sacks potatoes, 280 sacks oats. Also a quantity of sundries from Dunedin and Napier. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera arrived from Auckland yesterday afternoon after a 26 hours’ passage. She left again for South in the evening. Owing to the s.s. Ripple blocking the passage, the incoming passengers had to be landed Tow down on the wharf over the s.s Karoro. Owing to the mishap to the winches of the U.S.S. Co.’s Monowai at Lyttelton on Saturday, vessel will be unable to continue""in the East CoastAuckland service. She has left for Wellington with passengers, hut returns from there to Dunedin for repairs. The s.s. Waikare was despatched from Port Chalmers yesterday, and leaves Lyttelton to-day.
