COMPULSORY ARBITRATION DISAPPROVED. United Tress Association— Copyright. (Received September 12, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 11. The Trades Union Congress, by an overwhelming majority, rejected Ben Tillet’s motion in favor of compulsory arbitration in trade disputes. Resolutions were carried in favor of a general eight hours day, the land clauses of the Budget, and regular autumn sessions of Parliament. The principle of equal wages for equal work for men and women was affirmed.
