AMERICAN SCHEME FOR , THE
SANDWICH ISLANDS.

With the view of making the Sandwich Islands a naval and military stronghold, a contract has been signed at Washington for the construction of dry dock in Pearl harbor, 1195 ft long. It will be the largest ever built for the use of the navy.
