WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY OPERATIONS. United Press Association— Copyright (Received September 14, 9.35 p.m.) BERLIN, Sept. 14. Twelve thousand men, 540 guns, and 29,100 horses are attending the Mergentheim manoeuvres. The Kaiser’s guests include the Archduke Francis Ferdinand and Mr. Winston Churohill. Airships report the position of the enemy and the effect of the artillery fire direct to the general in the rear. Many church towers are being used as receiving stations, and the cavalry carry portable wireless apparatus. The Kaiser, when reviewing the army corps at Karlsruhe, said: “We Germans are glad to bear arms, and therefor© carry toe burden of defence lightly and willingly. Our army is the rock of bronze, whereon) peace is based, but so long as the human race endures there will be enemies and 1 enviers, and therefore always prospects of war. We must be ready'for all emergencies.”
