A BANKRUPT SOLICITOR.
MR JUSTICE COOPER’S COMMENT
1 [Per Press Association.] - NAPIER, Sept. 14. The examination in bankruptcy of John Jas. Patterson, of Dannevrrke, solicitor, was continued in the Supreme Court to-day. In the courses of a discussion, Mr. Justice Cooper said he was not disposed to say contrary to his own views that the debtor’s affairs had been sufficiently investigated. Eventually, His Honor made the following order: “Adjourned for one month, with liberty to the Deputy Official Assignee to apply to the Court- for a further adjournment, or for a further examination. Notice of such application to be given to debtor seven clays at least before making it, and if a further examination is desired, at least seven days’ notice to be given to the debtor of the matter on which such examination is desired. Application for such further adjournment or examination to he made to me in Wellington.” The motion for the bankrupt’s discharge was adjourned till the next sitting of the Court in Napier.
