United Press Assooiation— copyright LONDON, Sept. 16. - Dr William Newton, a Crown licensee at Marion and Prince Edward Islands, states that it is common knowledge .among Cape seafarers that whalers’ and otner ships often drift to those islands. The searchers for the Waratah ought to visit them. , SYDNEY, Sept. 17. Several steamers recently from South Afriea all report having kept a sharp look out, and having s een no sign of the Waratah. (Received September 17, 9.35 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 17.

Max-ion or iPrince Edward Island, in the Indian Ocean, is at present inhabited by Sealers. The trawlers sent to Marion Island 1 with stores in August were instructed to search for the Waratah.
