The Huddart-Parker Co.’s Victoria got away late on Saturday night, though passengers were taken aboard before 5 p.m. , The U.S.S. Co.’s Waikare arrived from Auckland about midnight, and will leave for the South later in the day. Collins, Chalf. and Laprain. , Messrs Richardson and Co. s runny arrived from Napier, via Boat Harbor, on Saturday, and set out on the return voyage at 7 p.m. the same evening. She "took 275 bales of wool and 29 casks of tallow for transhipment to the Paparoa. The U.S.S. Co.’s Kaituna arrived early on Sunday morning with 300 tons of coal from Newcastle for the local gas works. She is taking the balance of her cargo on to N apier to-day J: The auxiliary schooner Kaeo arrived on Saturday evening from Auckland, •via Coast bays, having left the northern port on the 3rd inst. Her cargo was a motor* oil launch, 37 bales of wool, 12 bales of skins, 25 tons of coal, 7 tons sugar, 1 ton charcoal, 8 cases kerosene, 10 sacks of shells, 340 packages of empties, and 30 packages sundries. . Captain Skinner, who arrived m the Kaeo, informed a “Times” representative that he had recently purchased a top-sail schooner, named the Warata, which had been formerly running between Dunedin and Kaipara. The Warata is a 97-ton vessel, and it is the intention of the new owner to have her fitted with 55 horse-power engines for use on the coastal trade in conjunction with the Kaeo. The Maori land. S.S. Co.’s Holmdale left Greymouth for Gisborne at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday, her cargo being for the following consignees: J. Colley •'.7o7ft timber, Cave Bros. 50,551 ft timber, Evans, Nield and Co. 17,106 ft timber, and 2037 posts and sleepers. The Canterbury Shipping Co.'s Ripple left Lyttelton on Saturday for Napier and Gisborne. She is due here on Tuesday.
