HORSE SALES. There was a good attendance of buyers at Messrs WiJiarr.s and Kettle s horse sale on Saturday, and at times competition was fairly keen. About 35 horses were entered for sale, and light hacks sold from £5 to £l3. The thoroughbred mare Waipai changed hands at 18 guineas, and a three-year-old filly from' Li was sold at 121 guineas. A harness mare sold on behalf or Dr. Morrison realised £2o,_ and a trap and bu'g_ rr v on -3.ee onnt- of tho S3. mo ner brought £2l 10s and £22 respectively. A section of land at Te Karaka was" -submitted for sale, but failed to find a- purchaser. Dir. G. R. DVylli© officiated as auctioneer.
