COMMANDER PEARY’S DEPARTURE. Unitkd Puksb Association —Copyuujht (Received September 20, 11.40 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 20. Commander Peary has sailed. Ho is due in Sydney, Nova Scotia, on Wednesday. PREVIOUS CAMPS DISCOVERED. (Received September 20, 11.55 p.m.) Professor MacMillan, who was with Commander Peary in his dash for the Pole, rediscovered Commander Peary’s camp of 1900 and 1906, in latitude 83 degrees. The tent was still standing. Professor MaoMillau also found the camp of the Greely expedition, in latitude 81 degrees, and the party dined ofF potatoes, Thubarb, and tea which had been •abandoned for a quarter of a century.
Mr. Borup, the photographer of the expedition, states that tho conditions of the expedition were unusually favorable, and that it was a picnic from beginning to end, as compared with previous expeditions.
