MELBOURNE, Sept. 20
Sir Thomas Bent was given a State funeral at Brighton cemetery. Ail imposing cortege included representatives of "the Federal and State Governments.
The funeral of the late Sir Thomas Bent was attended by 25,000 -persons. Many beautiful floral tributes and messages of sympathy were sent to his daughter, including one from the Acting-Premier- of New Zealand.
