The cheese market is dull, with only a small demand, buyers holding back and expec - ing prices to go lower; New Zealand 58s, Canadian 575. The hemp market is steady, no transactions of importance are reported New Zealand good, fair, on spot, £26 fair, on spot, £2o, fair current Manila, on spot, £2o, October-December shipments, New Zealand good, fair, £2o 15s, far, £24 los, fair current Manila £24 10s. The Maiila output was 2000 bales. The wool market is very firm, with general confidence in the maintenance of present prices for some time and an advance generally is expected. The hop market is very firm; supplies will be short.
