THE WEATHER
The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates’ weather forecast: Cool and changeable weather expected, but improving generally. An area of low pressure is now passing eastward of East Cape, and causing showery weather on the east coast of the North Island. A high pressure of the barometer is expected, although there is still some probability of a short and sharp disturbance in the south before conditions become settled. An extensive storm area is in evidence to the south-west of Australia, and may be expected to cause vary unsettled weather before and after Tuesday next, especially south of Kawhia and Napier.
