In the House of Commons, Mr Hobhouse, replying to a question, said that one of the obvious reasons .for the weakness in consols was the enorm-ons amount of colonial stocks available for trust investments. £400,000 STATE DUTY. SIDNEY, Sept. 24. The State Treasury is likely to benefit to the extent of £400,000 duty on the late Anthony Hordern’s will. GOLD FIND AT KALGOORLIE. PERTH, Sept. 24.
