The distance was too great to ascertain the ship’s identity. The position of the wreck was latitude 31.38 south, longitude 29.45 east.' ,Lunds state that the Clan Mclntyre reported sighting the Waratah at 9.30 on tho morning of July 27th, in approximate position latitude 32.17 south, longitude 29.17 east, a distance of about 51 miles ahead of that of the wreck reported by the Harlow. The captain of the Harlow suggests that the bottom of the sea he swept.
