YOUNG GARNET’S sire, Garnet, is by British Lion (imp.), dam Topaz, by Overdraft; grand-dam by Dugdale (imp.). Winner of First Prize and Society’s Medal for Draught Stallion at Poverty Bay A. and P. Society’s Show, 1896-97-98-1900. His dam, Rose Auckland —Conqueror. Taking into consideration he has the Garnet —British Lion blood on his father’s side, and the Auckland — Conqueror on the mother’s, ho should leave great stock. Auckland and Garnet both have stock in this district which \yould be hard to outclass. YOUNG GARNET has proved to be a sure foal-getter.
